The Blackwater 10 is a 10 mile road race designed to take in the spectacular views of the Blackwater Valley near Fermoy. Based from the picturesque village of Clondulane this ideal location is close to the M8 and N72 and is easily accessed by runners from Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Tipperary and Kerry.
The race will take place on May 20th 2018 at 11am and is also timed on the Munster Running Calendar to offer those runners training for half marathon distance at the Cork City Marathon an ideal preparatory training length. The race is organized by the Blackwater 10 Race Association, a non-profit group, and proceeds from the race will benefit our charity partners, Breakthrough Cancer Research and Clondulane National School.
This race has an Athletic Ireland permit and will be chip timed by Precision Timing. All registered runners will receive a Blackwater 10 technical t-shirt.
Interest is very high so we would encourage anyone who wishes to take part in the race to enter as early as possible.
The Blackwater 10 mile starts and finishes in the small village of Clondulane just to the east of Fermoy in Co.Cork.
